Section 1 - Tachi-Waza

Ukemi-Waza

Ushiro-ukemi
Both students sit, with their legs and arms extended and then do a break fall back ward, with their feet pointing straight up.

This is performed twice
Both students then stand and approach each other, then, squatting down, they take each others sleeves, let go, and do a backfall.

This is performed twice
Yoko-ukemi
Again, squatting down similar to the second Ushiro-Ukemi demonstration, each of the students will extend their right arm, and in a sweeping motion, the arm and leg will go to the other side and a side fall is performed.


Outen-ukemi > Mae Mawari Ukemi
For this technique, one student will enter a turtle position. The other student will reach over their partner, grabbing the collar, and then do a front rolling breakfall over their partner.
This will be done on the right and left side.

Tai-Sabaki
Mae-Mawari-Sabaki
Ushiro-Mawari-Sabaki
Ayumi-ashi
With basic Kumi-Kata grips
