Uchi Mata Sukashi (内股透) is a Judo technique classified as a hand throwing technique (Te-waza). It is a counter to the Uchi Mata (内股) throw.
Technique description
In Uchi Mata Sukashi, the tori (the person executing the throw) steps aside to avoid the uke (the person receiving the throw) who is attempting an Uchi Mata. As the uke misses, the tori uses the momentum of the uke to throw them forward. This technique requires precise timing and balance to effectively counter the Uchi Mata.
Classification
Uchi Mata Sukashi is classified under Te-waza (hand techniques) in the Kodokan Judo system. It is one of the techniques recognized as Shinmeisho no Waza (newly accepted techniques) by the Kodokan.
