Steven started Judo in February 2017 after he enrolled his Children at Red River Judo. He likes to say he didn't want to be one of those parents yelling from the sidelines but had no idea what he was talking about. With commitment and dedication Sensei Steven earned his Black Belt in February 2021.
"I have always wanted to train in a Martial Art but free time, financials and where I was living prevented me from doing so when I was younger. So starting in my 30's and getting to where I am now has taken a lot of hard work and dedication, but anyone can do it if they are willing to put in the time and effort." - Sensei Steven
David Boucher

David started Judo at the age of 16 in France. He now has over ten years of experience and obtained his black belt in France in 2017. He joined Red River Judo in fall 2021 shortly after his arrival in the US.

Jordon Riel

Jd started training Judo in October 2018 and also brings his 6 years of wrestling experience to the Red River Judo staff's repertoire. He joined Red River Judo at the request of a friend who wanted an accountability partner and has been immersed in learning/growing as a Judoka ever since. Sensei Jordon earned his Shodan in February 2024.

Tim Cruff
"I started Judo and Karate training in 1972 at age 16, in Valley City, North Dakota. Upon enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, I was able to continue my training, and competed on the Judo teams for Marine Corps Base 29 Palms, Ca, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni Japan, and Camp Pendleton Ca. I was promoted to Judo Shodan (USJA) in 1978 at the All Marine Judo Championships at Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC. In 1988 to 1992 I competed for the Cherry Point Judo Team. In 1992 I was transferred to Houston, Tx where I had the privilege to attend the Houston Budokan. In 1995 I started teaching Judo at Moorhead State University through 2007. My final Judo promotion was Yodan in 1999 (USJA). I also hold Godan rank in Karate and Jujitsu, along with my teaching licenses for those arts from the Seishinkai, of Osaka Japan. I am also certified as a USJA Coach, and hold a Masters Degree in Science Education." - Sensei Tim Cruff
